The MEDFUTURE Biomedical Research Institute conducts fundamental, translational, and clinical research in precision medicine.
Currently, our institute represents one of the most advanced research infrastructures at the national level, bringing together state-of-the-art technologies for the development and characterization of nanostructures with potential for targeted therapy, preclinical studies (in vitro on cell cultures and in vivo on advanced murine models), and multi-omic technologies (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) for the molecular stratification of patients to discover and validate diagnostic, prognostic, or theranostic biomarkers.
In recent years, our fields of scientific interest have expanded to include Translational Immunology, Translational Neurosciences, as well as Translational Hepatology and Liver Transplantation. All these fields bridge fundamental research with the development of clinical solutions for patients within multidisciplinary teams.
